Lock rekey & master systems in Ocoee, FL

New tenants, a house that just changed hands, a key you don’t trust anymore — rekeying makes the old keys dead without buying new hardware. Same-day work across Ocoee and west Orange County.

What’s included

  • Cylinders re-pinned so every previous key stops working — the hardware stays on the door.
  • One key across the deadbolt and the knob when the hardware allows it.
  • Subdivision hardware off Maguire Road and Ocoee-Apopka Road usually rekeys rather than replaces — most of those houses still run the cylinders they were built with. When a lock is genuinely past saving, we say so instead of rekeying it anyway.
  • Move-in rekeys on new construction west of the 429: the builder’s keys circulated through a lot of hands before yours did.
  • Master and sub-master plans for duplexes and small multifamily: your key opens everything, tenants keep theirs.

What moves the price

  • How many locks, and what brand they are.
  • How many copies of the new key you want cut.
  • Mixed brands on one house — when cylinders won’t share a key, we tell you before doing anything.

Typical range: $35–$60 per lock, plus hardware and extra keys if needed. The exact number is fixed on the phone before we start.

Quick answers

Rekey or replace — how do you decide?

If the cylinder is sound, rekeying gives you new keys for a fraction of the cost. Replace when the lock is worn out, damaged, or when you want different hardware. We tell you honestly which one fits.

I just closed on a new build west of the 429. Which locks should I rekey?

Every exterior door — and the two people always forget: the garage side door and the slider. On new construction it matters twice: construction crews, subcontractors and the builder’s master key all worked with your locks before you moved in. Rekeying all of them at once is one visit and one price.

Can all my locks take one key?

Usually yes, when the cylinders are the same brand or share a keyway. Houses that grew lock by lock over the years often mix brands — we’ll tell you what can join one keyring and what can’t before we start.

How long does a rekey take?

A standard residential cylinder is minutes; a whole house with mixed brands is usually one visit. Count the doors and the wanted key copies before you call and the quote comes back exact.

Do you keep a copy of my new key?

No — the keys are cut for you on site and the new pinning is yours. Nobody at this shop holds a working copy of your doors.

Ready for new keys?

Count the doors, call, get the price — done the same visit.
